Since joining Bickling Financial Services in 2000, he has earned a reputation for delivering thoughtful strategies designed to preserve, grow, and transfer wealth across generations.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® professional and Accredited Investment Fiduciary™, Spencer is committed to the highest standards of fiduciary care and professional integrity. A longtime advocate for financial literacy and the value of comprehensive planning, he has served as a CFP Board Ambassador since 2015 and is frequently featured in national media. Most recently, Spencer appeared on Fox News and has continued to expand his thought leadership through published articles addressing timely financial planning topics and the evolving needs of investors.

Spencer is equally passionate about advancing the profession through mentorship and education. He has presented to future advisors at institutions including Old Dominion University and Bentley College, sharing practical insight drawn from years of client work and industry leadership.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Old Dominion University, a foundation that reflects the analytical rigor he brings to financial planning. He has also completed advanced coursework through the College for Financial Planning and fiduciary training through the Center for Fiduciary Studies. In addition, Spencer maintains securities registrations including Series 6, 7, 63, and 24, along with an insurance producer license, allowing him to offer comprehensive guidance tailored to complex financial situations.

Beyond his professional work, Spencer is deeply engaged in his community. He is a past president of the Lexington Rotary, a Paul Harris Fellow, and an active member of multiple professional and civic organizations. He lives in Bedford with his wife, Jessica, and their two children, Taylor and Ryan.
