Dorothy I. Bickling, ED.D., CFP®
Dorothy Bickling is a financial advisor and principal of Bickling Financial Services. The fee-based practice is known for the planning and investment management services provided to individuals and businesses in the greater Boston area. Her background includes a combination of skills and experiences: portfolio selection and management, auditing, income tax and financial statement preparation, supervision, training, evaluation, business management, personal and financial counseling, research and consulting.
Dr. Bickling is particularly astute in analyzing situations, noting the main concerns, the positive and challenging components, and the ramifications of various alternatives. These skills are used equally effectively in business consultations and in assisting individuals. She is noted for her ability to assist clients with clarifying their goals so that these are kept in mind when subsequent alternatives are evaluated.

A former licensed psychologist, Dr. Bickling applies psychology, accounting, and finance to her work. She assists clients in comprehensive financial planning, noting all aspects of their financial affairs. She has experience in retirement planning, investment management, and tax planning.
Dr. Bickling attended the University of Colorado as a Boettcher Scholar and received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance. She received a Master of Arts in Business Education. Her doctoral degree in Counselor Education is from Auburn University.
